What changed

More ways to be found. More ways to be missed.

Search via AI

People are using AI instead of search

Your next client, patient or tenant opens ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Copilot and asks who they should call. It answers with two or three names and a reason for each. No list of ten, no page two, no scrolling down to find you at number six. If your name is not in that answer, you were never in the running, and you will never see the inquiry you did not get.

And the rest keeps moving

There are eight directions, and they all changed

Google itself is not what it was: AI answers now sit above the results, pushing organic and paid listings down the page. Then there are the assistants, Maps, reviews, directories, local press, backlinks and the content behind all of it. Each one is a different front door with its own lock, and doing well at one does close to nothing for the others. They have to be worked together or they pull against each other.

The part that hurts

Nobody owns it, and the cost is invisible

It is eight moving systems and it belongs to no one. Not you, not your office manager, not the person who built your site three years ago. The cost of not having it handled is that your future clients and patients are going somewhere else, to your competitors. And it is happening right now.

Eight bearings

Every direction a client can come from, watched at once.

NAI Answers

The free findability check scores these same eight, grouped into six measurable pillars - AI answers and answer engine optimization score together, as do maps and reviews. See what the benchmark covers.

How we work

You hire the work done, not more work for you.

  1. It starts with a kickoff.

We run a deep assessment of your site with CompassIQ - the platform we run every account on, covering all eight directions - then sit down together and get clear on positioning, the competitors that actually matter, the searches worth owning, content and reviews strategy, technical access, writing samples and brand. Nothing gets published before this exists.

  2. Then we go and do it.

Technical fixes, articles, business profile posts, press, citations and structured data. It is our work, not a task list handed back to you. You approve what goes out over your name, and that is the only thing that ever needs your time.

  3. A SearchCompass expert runs your account.

Not a contracted overseas resource working through a checklist. The same expert every month, who knows your market, can name your competitors without looking them up, and understands why one of them keeps turning up in the answer instead of you.

  4. A report lands in your inbox every week.

No portal, no password, nothing to log into. Plain English: where you showed up, what moved, what shipped, what is next. Short enough to read on a phone and written to be forwarded to a partner without translating it first.

  5. Month to month.

Thirty days notice, any time. If it stops working you should not need a lawyer to get out of it.

  6. We are taking ten clients.

That is the number for now. Ten is what one senior operator can run properly, and when it is full it is full.

Who this is for

Where being found moves the needle.

A fit

Lower volume, higher transaction businesses, where being seen online changes the shape of the year rather than the shape of a week.

Home and property. Custom building and high-end remodeling, electrical, HVAC and solar, landscape design-build, pool builders, restoration, roofing, window replacement.

B2B and technology. Consultants and coaches, IT managed services, SaaS, staffing firms.

Health and aesthetics. Cosmetic and implant dentists, fertility and orthopedic clinics, med spas.

Legal and financial. Commercial real estate brokerages, elder law and estate planning, family law, wealth managers and financial advisors.

Vehicles and marine. Independent boat and car dealerships.

Owner-led, with no marketing department or very little on the marketing side, and busy enough running the business that this kind of work never gets taken care of.

Not a fit

High volume at a low ticket. One-off projects. Anyone who wants a freelancer to take direction, or who would rather run the software themselves.

If we are not the right fit, we will tell you on the first call instead of selling you something adjacent.

Pricing

Two ways to run this. Both get everything.

Both start with the same kickoff session, the same CompassIQ install and the same baseline across all eight directions. The only difference is how much we publish each month and how closely we track your rivals.

The math

How many does it take to pay for the year?

This is not a traffic problem, and we are not going to send you a chart of impressions. The point is more clients, more patients, more signed deals. So the only question worth asking is how many additional ones it takes to cover the whole year.

At $1,500 a month plus setup, a year runs $19,500. Work out what one new customer is worth to you, divide, and you have your answer. For most of the businesses we work with the answer is a single-digit number, and if it lands somewhere you are not comfortable with, that is worth knowing now.

If you are aOne new customer is worth roughlyTo cover a year
Roofing$20,000 for a tile roof replacement, less for asphaltOne job
HVAC and solar$14,000 for a full system replacement, more for a solar installTwo jobs
Electrical$4,000 for a panel upgrade, several times that on commercial workFive jobs
Custom building and remodeling$85,000 for a kitchen, far more for a full buildOne project
Independent car dealership$3,500 gross on a used vehicle, front and backSix sales
Cosmetic and implant dentistry$15,000 for a single arch, roughly double for full mouthOne to two cases
Med spa$5,000 in first-year value on a package clientFour clients
Elder law and estate planning$3,000 for a full planSeven matters
Commercial brokerage$25,000 in commission on a 5,000 sq ft lease at $20 a foot over five years, before the splitOne deal
Wealth management$10,000 a year on a $1M relationship at 1%, recurringTwo relationships, once
Staffing and IT managed services$36,000 a year at $3,000 a month, more over the life of the accountOne account
Consulting and coaching$12,000 to $60,000 for an engagementOne or two engagements

Figures are illustrative, drawn from current market data. They are revenue rather than margin, except for resale businesses like dealerships where we have used gross profit, since revenue there would flatter the number beyond recognition. Run your own numbers - you know them better than we do. The point is that the answer is a small, countable number of customers, and you should decide whether that number is realistic for you before the first call rather than after the third invoice.
